The role :

We are seeking a talented Automation Hardware Engineer with a passion for innovation and expertise in heavy-duty and offshore equipment. Our company focuses on new development for leading OEMs in the wind turbine market, and we need a dedicated engineer to help create and implement cutting-edge technological solutions that ensure reliability and efficiency.

To be successful as a skilled Automation Hardware Engineer you should have a solid background as an electrician. Throughout your career, you have built up solid competencies in the design of electrical engineering solutions, including safety solutions for machine systems, and cable dimensions.

Your responsibilities :

• Creating schematics and layouts for electronic circuits and systems, collaborating with software engineers to ensure seamless integration with software applications
• Identifying and resolving issues related to hardware design and operation, ensuring systems are efficient and reliable
• Working alongside cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to bring projects from concept to completion
• Ensuring hardware meets all required safety, quality, and performance standards before it is deployed or manufactured
• Working documentation software such as PC schematic, Eplan, SSE Electrical or equivalent
• Hardware testing / prototype validation

About you :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Hardware design experience
• A broad range of experience but ideally with strong all round electronic design
• Good knowledge of Analogue and Digital Design including microprocessors/micro-controllers
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and their integration with PLCs
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Very good written and verbal English skills for effective communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with certification and regulatory processes for offshore equipment
