The Role 
You will be the direct manager of approx. 15-20 competent mechanical design engineers. Our client promise is “Getting it done”. We rely on having employees who are willing to accept our “guiding principle” and take personal responsibility for their deliverables. You will be an active contributor to the engineering leadership team and a role model for the ENABL ways of working and principles. You’ll cover all aspects of the “employer life cycle” – recruitment, development, motivation, retention, corrective actions, salary, and termination. You will support and develop engineers through regular coaching, mentoring sessions and providing continuous feedback. On the administrative side, you are responsible for the work plans, resource allocation, overtime, vacation planning, illness, approval of time registration, etc. 

Your responsibilities

  • Leading team of 15-20 mechanical design engineers  
  • Oversee project progress across all employees in your team in Sofia. 
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of technical solutions by your direct reports 
  • Participate in client meetings when necessary. 
     

About you 

  • Relevant university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, production, or a related field. 
  • At least 7 years of work experience in engineering or project management. 
  • Strong understanding of engineering practices, including processes, materials, components, and controls. 
  • Experience in metal works or project-based business models is a plus. 
  • Previous management experience or several years as a project manager in a relevant industry. 
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
