Join our international infrastructure team and play a key role in modernizing our virtualization landscape. We’re looking for a skilled Automation Software Engineer with strong Linux expertise who thrives in complex enterprise environments and enjoys hands-on technical challenges.
You bring solid experience in VMware and Proxmox VE (KVM/QEMU), and you’re confident designing clusters, storage architectures (ZFS, Ceph, LVM-thin), and networking setups (bridges, VLANs, LACP). You’re comfortable working at the CLI level, understand kernel and driver concepts, and can execute migrations with precision and minimal downtime.
You have experience with tools like Ansible, or Terraform. Backup, restore, monitoring, and documentation are part of your standard way of working.
Most importantly, you are proactive, structured, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, international team driving infrastructure transformation.
Your responsibilities:
• Plan and execute the migration from VMware to Proxmox VE
• Design cluster, storage (ZFS/Ceph/LVM) and networking (bridges/VLAN/LACP)
• Perform cutovers with minimal downtime; produce documentation and ensure knowledge transfer
• Set up backup/restore (PBS) and monitoring
• Automate with templates, cloud-init and Ansible/Terrafom
Your profile:
• 3–5+ years in virtualization (Proxmox/KVM/QEMU or equivalent)
• Strong Linux background; confident with CLI, drivers and kernel concepts
• Networking: VLANs, trunking, bonds; basic firewall/routing
• Storage: ZFS/Ceph/LVM-thin, I/O tuning, TRIM/discard
• Experience with ovftool, qm importovf/importdisk, qemu-img, virt-v2v
• Scripting/automation (Bash/Python); fluent English
• Nice to have: Experience from SGRE (Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy) or similar OEM/enterprise environment
